Preparing an AJIO GSTR-1 report may look difficult when you open AJIO seller files for the first time. There are separate reports for orders, GST details and returns, and each report contains many columns.
The good news is that you do not need to understand every column. For GSTR-1, you mainly need to identify valid sales, cancelled orders, customer returns, invoice values, GST rates, place of supply, HSN details and credit notes.
This guide explains the process in simple language for AJIO sellers, accountants and CAs. First, we will understand how to prepare the working manually. At the end, we will show how CAWork Suite can automate the same process.

FAQs
What Is an AJIO GSTR-1 Report?
An AJIO GSTR-1 report is the GSTR-1 working prepared from the seller's AJIO marketplace transaction data.
It is not simply the amount received from AJIO in your bank account.
For GST filing, you need to check information such as:
Invoice number and date
Order details
Sale or cancellation status
Customer delivery state
HSN code
Quantity
Taxable/base value
GST rate
CGST, SGST or IGST
Invoice value
Returns
Credit notes
Marketplace settlement can include deductions and adjustments that are different from customer sales. Therefore, the final settlement amount should not automatically be treated as your GSTR-1 turnover.
Which AJIO Reports Are Required for GSTR-1?
For this workflow, use three AJIO DropShip reports for the same GSTIN and filing period.
1. DropShip GST Report
Download Path:
AJIO Seller Panel → Reports → DropShip Reports → GST Report
This report contains the main invoice, taxable value, GST and place-of-supply information.
2. DropShip Order Report
Download Path:
AJIO Seller Panel → Reports → DropShip Reports → Order Report
This report provides detailed order information, HSN, quantity, cancellation status, invoice values and GST.
3. DropShip RTV Report
Download Path:
AJIO Seller Panel → Reports → DropShip Reports → RTV Report
RTV means Return to Vendor. This report contains customer-return details, credit-note information and the original invoice reference.
Use all three reports for the same filing period.

What Is the Purpose of Each AJIO Report?
DropShip GST Report
This report is useful for checking:
Seller Invoice NoSeller Invoice DateCust Invoice NoCust Invoice DateInvoice ValueCGST PERCENTAGECGST AMOUNTSGST PERCENTAGESGST AMOUNTIGST PERCENTAGEIGST AMOUNTPlace of SupplyPOS State NameScenario
The Scenario field can help identify transactions such as B2CS interstate, B2CS intrastate, B2CL, nil/exempt transactions and cancelled records.
DropShip Order Report
The Order Report gives additional product and shipment information.
Important fields include:
Cust Order NoFWD Seller Order NOSeller Invoice NoSeller Invoice DateStatusHSNDescriptionOrder QtyShipped QTYCancelled QtyCustomer Cancelled QTYSeller Cancelled QTYBase PriceTotal PriceInvoice ValueGST rate and amount fields
Place of SupplyPOS State Name
This report is particularly useful for the HSN summary and checking whether an order was actually shipped or cancelled.
DropShip RTV Report
The RTV Report is mainly for returns.
Important fields include:

These fields help connect the return back to the original sale.
How to Prepare AJIO GSTR-1 Manually
Step 1: Check the Filing Period
First confirm:
Correct seller GSTIN
Required GSTR-1 month or quarter
All three AJIO reports belong to the same period
Do not mix reports from different periods without checking invoice and credit-note dates.
Step 2: Start with the DropShip GST Report
Use the GST Report as the main tax working.
Check:
Seller Invoice NoSeller Invoice DateInvoice ValueGST rate
GST amount
Place of SupplyScenario
For example:
Taxable value = ₹10,000
IGST rate = 18%
IGST = ₹1,800
Invoice Value = ₹11,800
For an intrastate transaction:
Taxable value = ₹10,000
CGST 9% = ₹900
SGST 9% = ₹900
Invoice Value = ₹11,800
Step 3: Check the Order Report
Now match the invoice with the Order Report.
You can use common references such as:
Cust Order NoFWD PO NOSeller Invoice NoJioCodeSeller SKUEAN
Use the Order Report to check:
HSN
Product description
Ordered quantity
Shipped quantity
Cancelled quantity
GST
Invoice value
Place of supply
Do not remove repeated invoice numbers automatically. One invoice may contain more than one product line.
Step 4: Remove or Review Cancelled Orders
Check:
StatusCancelled QtyCustomer Cancelled QTYSeller Cancelled QTYSeller Invoice NoScenario
A cancelled order with no invoice value may not become an outward taxable sale.
But do not simply delete every cancelled row.
Check:
Was an invoice generated?
Was the product shipped?
Was the invoice already reported?
Was a credit note subsequently issued?
This prevents incorrect deletion of genuine invoice records.
How to Check Place of Supply and GST
AJIO reports contain:
Place of SupplyPOS State Name
For normal goods involving movement, GST law generally treats the place where movement ends for delivery to the recipient as the place of supply.
Compare this with the seller's GST registration state.
Same State
Seller State = Gujarat
Place of Supply = Gujarat
Normally:
CGST + SGST
Different State
Seller State = Gujarat
Place of Supply = Maharashtra
Normally:
IGST
If the GST type does not match the place of supply, check the actual invoice before filing.
How to Classify B2CS and B2CL
For unregistered customers, B2C sales are divided into B2CS and B2CL.
B2CS
For return periods from August 2024 onwards:
Intrastate B2C sale → B2CS
Interstate B2C invoice up to ₹1,00,000 → B2CS
B2CL
Interstate B2C invoice above ₹1,00,000 → B2CL
The GST rules changed the interstate B2C invoice threshold from ₹2.5 lakh to ₹1 lakh with effect from 1 August 2024.
Check the Complete Invoice Value
Do not apply the threshold separately to every product.
Example:
Product A = ₹60,000
Product B = ₹50,000
Complete Invoice Value = ₹1,10,000
If the customer is unregistered and the supply is interstate:
Classification = B2CL
Interestingly, the AJIO reports also contain a Scenario field with classifications such as:
B2CS Interstate
B2CS Intrastate
B2CL Interstate
Nil/Exempt B2C
Cancelled/Skipped
Use this as a useful cross-check, but still verify the underlying invoice value and place of supply.
What About B2B Sales?
A B2B transaction requires the recipient's valid GSTIN.
The AJIO files used for this workflow do not provide a clear recipient-GSTIN field in the main GST and Order Reports.
The RTV Report contains fields such as FWD B2B INVOICE NO, but an invoice number alone is not enough to prove that the recipient is GST registered.
Therefore:
If you need to report an AJIO transaction as B2B, verify the customer's GSTIN from the actual tax invoice or another reliable seller record.
Do not guess a buyer GSTIN.
How to Handle AJIO Returns and Credit Notes
Returns should be checked using the DropShip RTV Report.
Step 1: Identify a Valid Return
Check:
Return StatusReturn QTYReturn Delivered DateReturn TypeReturn Value
A cancelled return should not automatically reduce your sales.
Step 2: Find the Original Sale
Match using fields such as:
Cust Order NoFWD PO NOJioCodeSELLER SKUEAN
Step 3: Check Credit Note Information
Look for:
Credit Note NumberCredit Note Generation DateCredit Note ValueCredit Note Pre Tax ValueCredit Note Tax Value
Example:
Original taxable value = ₹5,000
IGST = ₹900
Valid full credit note:
Taxable value reversed = ₹5,000
IGST reversed = ₹900
Do not delete the original invoice if it was reported in an earlier period.
If a return happens later, keep the original sale in its original period and report the applicable credit-note adjustment in the correct period.
The report also identifies cases where credit-note information may be missing. Such records should be reviewed instead of automatically reducing GSTR-1 sales.
How to Prepare the HSN Summary
The AJIO Order Report and RTV Report contain the exact field:
HSN
Use it with:
DescriptionShipped QTYReturn QTYBase PriceTotal PriceGST rate
GST amounts
A simple calculation is:
Net HSN Quantity
=
Shipped Quantity − Valid Return QuantityAnd:
Net HSN Taxable Value
=
Sale Taxable Value − Valid Credit Note Taxable ValueGroup the final working by:
HSN + GST Rate
Then calculate:
Quantity
Taxable value
IGST
CGST
SGST/UTGST
Cess, if applicable
Current GST Portal reporting requires HSN-wise outward-supply details in Table 12, with reporting requirements depending on the taxpayer's turnover and supply type.
AJIO TCS and GSTR-1 Table 14
E-commerce TCS is not the same as output GST.
Under Section 52, the e-commerce operator collects TCS on applicable net taxable supplies where it collects the consideration, and the operator reports this separately.
Therefore:
Do not add TCS to GST charged to customers
Do not reduce GSTR-1 turnover by TCS
Do not treat net settlement as taxable turnover
Reconcile TCS separately with the GST Portal
The three AJIO reports reviewed here do not contain a clear dedicated TCS-amount field, so do not invent a TCS figure from other columns.
GSTR-1 Table 14
Table 14(a) is used by suppliers to report ECO-GSTIN-wise supplies made through e-commerce operators on which Section 52 TCS applies. The tax liability itself is already reported in the relevant normal GSTR-1 tables.
So Table 14 does not mean you report or pay the same GST twice.
If AJIO's required ECO GSTIN is not present in these reports, obtain it separately from verified GST or AJIO records.
Final Reconciliation Before Filing
Before finalising your AJIO GSTR-1 report, check:
Total valid sales
Cancelled orders
Total RTV returns
Credit-note values
Net taxable sales
B2CS total
B2CL invoices
B2B invoices, if applicable
Place of supply
GST-rate-wise taxable value
IGST
CGST
SGST
HSN summary
Invoice numbers
Credit-note numbers
Table 14 information
AJIO reports versus accounting books
This is where a proper GST reconciliation tool or structured working becomes useful when transaction volume increases.
Common Mistakes While Preparing AJIO GSTR-1
Avoid these common errors:
Using only one AJIO report
Ignoring the RTV Report
Treating every return as a valid credit note
Ignoring cancelled-return status
Deleting every cancelled order without checking invoice status
Applying the ₹1 lakh B2CL threshold per product row
Using order number as invoice number
Guessing the buyer GSTIN
Adding GST twice
Using the wrong place of supply
Ignoring HSN return adjustments
Treating TCS as output GST
Using marketplace settlement as GSTR-1 turnover
How CAWork Suite Generates AJIO GSTR-1 Faster
Why Spend Hours Matching Three AJIO Reports Manually?
Every filing period, manually preparing an AJIO GSTR-1 means:
Combining GST and order information
Matching cancelled orders
Matching returns with original sales
Checking credit notes
Mapping states
Calculating B2CS and B2CL
Preparing HSN data
Reconciling GST tables
If you manage hundreds or thousands of transactions, repeating this Excel work every month takes unnecessary time.
CAWork Suite simplifies the process into four steps.
Step 1: Select GSTIN and Filing Period
Choose:
Seller GSTIN
Required month or quarter
Step 2: Upload the Three AJIO Reports
Upload the original:
1. DropShip GST Report
2. DropShip Order Report
3. DropShip RTV Report
You do not need to manually merge the files before uploading them.
Step 3: Review the GSTR-1 Working
CAWork Suite processes supported data relating to:
Forward sales
Cancelled transactions
Returns
Credit notes
B2CS and B2CL
Place of supply
GST rates and amounts
HSN data
Applicable GSTR-1 sections
Review the processed transactions and correct incomplete or unusual records before final generation.
Step 4: Generate GSTR-1 Excel or JSON
After review, generate the supported:
GSTR-1 Excel
GSTR-1 JSON
The workflow is:
Select GSTIN and Period → Upload 3 AJIO Reports → Review and Correct Transactions → Generate GSTR-1 Excel or JSON
For supported and correctly formatted AJIO reports, CAWork Suite can prepare a review-ready GSTR-1 working in around two minutes.
The final review can take longer where source reports contain missing or unusual records.
Stop Matching AJIO Excel Files Manually
Instead of creating the same formulas every month, upload the three AJIO reports to CAWork Suite, review the prepared transactions and generate your supported GSTR-1 output through one organised process.
For accountants and CA firms handling multiple marketplaces, GSTR-1 software for ecommerce sellers can also make the filing process more repeatable across different clients.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Which AJIO reports are required for GSTR-1?
Use the DropShip GST Report, DropShip Order Report and DropShip RTV Report for the same GSTIN and filing period.
2. What is the AJIO DropShip GST Report?
It contains invoice values, GST amounts, place of supply and other tax-related details used for GSTR-1 preparation.
3. Why is the Order Report required?
The Order Report contains useful product-level information such as HSN, quantity, shipment status, cancellations and invoice values.
4. What is the AJIO RTV Report?
RTV means Return to Vendor. The report contains return status, quantities, return value and credit-note information.
5. How do I identify B2CL?
For current periods, an interstate B2C invoice with total invoice value above ₹1,00,000 is reported invoice-wise as B2CL.
6. Can I identify B2B sales directly from these files?
Not reliably unless a valid recipient GSTIN is available. Verify B2B transactions using the actual tax invoice or another reliable record.
7. How do I prepare the HSN summary?
Use the HSN field from the Order and RTV reports and group net sales and returns by HSN and GST rate.
8. Is AJIO TCS part of output GST?
No. TCS collected by an e-commerce operator is separate from output GST and should be reconciled separately.
9. Can AJIO reports be uploaded directly to the GST Portal?
The marketplace reports are source data and need to be converted into the applicable GSTR-1 structure before filing.
10. How does CAWork Suite help?
CAWork Suite processes the three supported AJIO reports, lets users review the prepared GSTR-1 working and generates supported Excel or JSON output.
Conclusion
Preparing an AJIO GSTR-1 report becomes much easier when you understand the role of all three reports.
Use the DropShip GST Report for tax and invoice information, the DropShip Order Report for order, HSN, quantity and cancellation details, and the DropShip RTV Report for customer returns and credit notes.
Then verify place of supply, classify B2CS and B2CL, adjust valid returns, prepare HSN data and reconcile the final working with your accounting books.
If you do not want to manually match three AJIO files every filing period, CAWork Suite simplifies the process. Select your GSTIN and period, upload the three reports, review the processed transactions and generate the supported GSTR-1 Excel or JSON output.
