How to Generate GSTR-1 from Myntra Seller Reports

Learn how to prepare GSTR-1 from Myntra Packed, RT and RTO reports. Understand sales, returns, RTO, GST, B2CS, B2CL, TCS and reconciliation in simple steps.

Akash GajeraFounderPublished 9 August 2026

Preparing a Myntra GSTR-1 report can look difficult because Myntra gives separate files for packed orders, customer returns and Return to Origin (RTO). Each file also contains many tax, amount, status and TCS fields.

For GSTR-1 for ecommerce sellers, the process becomes easier when you understand the job of each report. Start with forward sales, match RT and RTO transactions, check customer state and GST, prepare the correct GSTR-1 working and reconcile everything before filing.

If you manage Myntra GST manually every month, you may also be looking for GSTR-1 software or GSTR-1 filing software that can reduce repeated Excel work. This guide first explains the complete manual process and then shows how CAWork Suite can simplify it.

What Is a Myntra GSTR-1 Report?

A Myntra GSTR-1 report is the GSTR-1 working prepared from Myntra seller transaction data. It is not the same as the amount Myntra finally pays into your bank account.

For GST filing, you need valid sales, returns, RTO transactions, place of supply, taxable value, GST rate and tax amounts. Depending on the transaction, you may also need the actual invoice number, buyer GSTIN and HSN.

This is why GSTR-1 for e-commerce sellers requires proper marketplace-level reconciliation instead of simply taking the total settlement amount.

Myntra settlement values can include marketplace charges, TCS, TDS, cashback, refunds and other adjustments.

Therefore:

Myntra net settlement ≠ GSTR-1 sales turnover

The final bank payment should not be directly treated as your taxable sales.

Which Myntra Reports Are Required?

For this workflow, use three Myntra reports for the same GSTIN and filing period.

1. GSTR-1 Packed Report

Download Path:

Myntra Seller Panel → Reports → GST Reports → GSTR-1 Packed File

This is the main forward-transaction report.

2. GSTR Report RT

Download Path:

Myntra Seller Panel → Reports → GST Reports → GSTR Report RT

RT is used for customer-return and refund information.

3. GSTR Report RTO

Download Path:

Myntra Seller Panel → Reports → GST Reports → GSTR Report RTO

RTO means Return to Origin. It helps identify shipments that return to the seller instead of completing normal delivery.

Keep all three original files unchanged.

Important Fields in Myntra Seller Reports

After reviewing the actual Myntra report structure, these are some of the most useful fields for GST working.

Report

Important Fields

Main Use

Packed

order_id, item_id, order_status, tax_rate, customer_delivery_state_code, tax_amount, quantity, invoiceamount, shipment_value, base_value, discount, platform_charges, seller_gstin, tcs_amount

Forward sales and GST

RT

item_id, return_status, fr_is_refunded, fr_refunded_date, fr_refund_amount, delivery_state, seller_state_code, tax_amount, Qty, shipment_value, tcs_amount

Customer returns

RTO

order_id, item_id, is_rto, order_rto_date, order_cancel_date, is_shipped, is_delivered, customer_state, tax_amount, quantity, final_amount, refund_amount, tcs_amount

Return to Origin

Common fields such as item_id, packet_id and related parent/order IDs can help connect RT or RTO transactions back to the original packed transaction.

Important Missing Information

The reviewed Myntra files do not show a direct buyer GSTIN, HSN code or clear tax-invoice-number field.

If GSTR-1 requires these details, get them from a verified source such as:

  • Myntra tax invoice

  • Product master

  • Accounting software

  • GST invoice records

Do not create or guess missing GST information.

How to Prepare Myntra GSTR-1 Manually

Step 1: Check GSTIN and Filing Period

First check:

  • seller_gstin

  • Reporting month or quarter

  • Packed Report period

  • RT Report period

  • RTO Report period

All three reports should belong to the correct seller GSTIN and filing period.

Step 2: Start with the Packed Report

The Packed Report is your starting point for forward transactions.

Important fields include:

  • order_id

  • item_id

  • customer_delivery_state_code

  • tax_rate

  • igst_amt

  • cgst_amt

  • sgst_amt

  • tax_amount

  • quantity

  • invoiceamount

  • shipment_value

  • base_value

Do Not Use net_amount as Sales Turnover

The reports also contain fields such as:

  • platform_charges

  • tcs_amount

  • tds_amount

  • discount

  • cashback

  • net_amount

These can affect the final settlement.

So:

net_amount
≠
GSTR-1 Taxable Sales

A proper GST reconciliation tool should therefore reconcile invoice-level marketplace transactions rather than assuming that the seller's net payout is taxable turnover.

Step 3: Match Packed Transactions with RT and RTO

Do not simply add all three reports together.

First start with the Packed transaction and check whether it later appears as a customer return or RTO.

Packed Transaction
       ↓
Successfully completed?
       ↓
Yes → Keep as Forward Sale

Customer returned it?
       ↓
Check RT Report

Returned to seller before delivery?
       ↓
Check RTO Report

This matching is important because otherwise the same order can be counted or reversed twice.

This type of marketplace matching is one reason accountants handling many sellers often use GST reconciliation software instead of maintaining multiple manual Excel formulas every filing period.

How to Check Place of Supply and GST

Depending on the Myntra report, check:

  • Packed → customer_delivery_state_code

  • RT → delivery_state

  • RTO → customer_state

Then compare it with the seller GST registration state.

Same State

Seller: Gujarat
Customer: Gujarat

Normally:

CGST + SGST

Example:

Taxable Value = ₹10,000
GST Rate = 18%

CGST 9% = ₹900
SGST 9% = ₹900

Invoice Value = ₹11,800

Different State

Seller: Gujarat
Customer: Maharashtra

Normally:

IGST

Taxable Value = ₹10,000
IGST 18% = ₹1,800

Invoice Value = ₹11,800

How to Check Taxable Value and GST

Myntra reports contain several financial fields:

  • invoiceamount

  • shipment_value

  • base_value

  • seller_price

  • discount

  • shipping_charges

  • gift_charges

  • platform_charges

  • net_amount

Do not create one fixed formula using all these fields without checking the actual invoice.

The basic GST calculation is:

Taxable Value
+ GST
+ Cess, if applicable
=
Invoice Value

For GST verification, use:

  • tax_rate

  • igst_rate

  • cgst_rate

  • sgst_rate

  • tax_amount

How to Handle Myntra RT — Customer Returns

The RT report gives detailed refund information.

Useful fields include:

  • return_status

  • return_status_display_name

  • fr_is_refunded

  • fr_refunded_date

  • fr_restocked_date

  • fr_refund_amount

  • is_delivered

  • is_realised

Simple Return Example

Original taxable value = ₹5,000
GST = ₹900

If the full product is validly returned:

Taxable Value Reversed = ₹5,000
GST Reversed = ₹900

For a partial return, reverse only the returned portion.

Return in a Later Month

Suppose:

  • Product sold in January

  • Customer returns it in February

Do not delete the January sale.

The original invoice remains in its original period. The applicable credit-note or return adjustment should be considered in the correct later period.

How to Handle Myntra RTO

RTO means Return to Origin.

The RTO report contains useful fields such as:

  • is_rto

  • order_rto_date

  • order_cancel_date

  • is_shipped

  • is_delivered

  • is_realised

  • refund_amount

An RTO should not automatically be treated as a normal customer return.

Before reducing sales, check:

  1. Was the product shipped?

  2. Was it delivered?

  3. Was an invoice issued?

  4. Was the sale already reported?

  5. Was the amount already reversed?

This helps prevent double reversal.

How to Classify B2B, B2CS and B2CL

B2B Sales

A B2B invoice requires a valid buyer GSTIN.

The Myntra reports reviewed for this guide do not provide a direct buyer GSTIN field.

Therefore, if a transaction is B2B, obtain the buyer GSTIN from the actual tax invoice or another verified source.

B2CS

For unregistered customers:

  • Intrastate B2C sale → B2CS

  • Interstate B2C invoice up to ₹1,00,000 → B2CS

B2CL

For current return periods:

Interstate B2C invoice above ₹1,00,000 → B2CL

Important: Check the Complete Invoice

Suppose one invoice contains:

Product A = ₹60,000
Product B = ₹50,000

Complete Invoice Value = ₹1,10,000

If the buyer is unregistered and the sale is interstate:

GSTR-1 Section = B2CL

Do not apply the ₹1 lakh test separately to each product row.

Also, do not assume order_id is the tax invoice number. Use the actual verified invoice number where GSTR-1 requires invoice-wise reporting.

How to Prepare HSN Summary

GSTR-1 Table 12 contains the HSN-wise summary.

The reviewed Myntra reports do not contain a direct HSN field.

Therefore, obtain HSN from:

  • Product master

  • Tax invoice

  • Accounting system

  • Another verified Myntra source

Then prepare:

HSN + GST Rate
        ↓
Net Quantity
        ↓
Net Taxable Value
        ↓
IGST / CGST / SGST / Cess

Only valid RT or RTO reversals should reduce the HSN summary.

For businesses using GSTR-1 filing software, this HSN-level grouping is particularly useful because manually matching sales, returns and different GST rates can become time-consuming when transaction volume increases.

Myntra TCS and GSTR-1 Table 14

One useful part of the Myntra reports is that they contain separate TCS fields:

  • tcs_amount

  • cgst_tcs_amount

  • sgst_tcs_amount

  • igst_tcs_amount

TCS Is Not Output GST

Do not calculate:

Sales − Myntra TCS = GSTR-1 Sales

TCS is separate from GST charged to the customer.

Therefore:

  • Do not reduce sales by TCS

  • Do not add TCS to output GST

  • Reconcile TCS separately

Table 14

For applicable marketplace transactions, GSTR-1 Table 14(a) contains the ECO-GSTIN-wise summary of supplies on which the e-commerce operator collects TCS.

The main sales and GST liability are already reported in normal GSTR-1 tables. Table 14 is an additional e-commerce summary and does not mean GST should be paid twice.

Final Reconciliation Before Filing

Before finalising the Myntra GSTR-1 report, check:

  • Total Packed sales

  • Total RT returns

  • Total RTO transactions

  • Net taxable sales

  • B2B transactions, where applicable

  • B2CS total

  • B2CL invoices

  • Customer state

  • GST-rate-wise taxable value

  • IGST

  • CGST

  • SGST

  • HSN summary

  • Invoice/document information

  • TCS

  • Table 14

  • Myntra reports versus accounting books

This is the core purpose of GST reconciliation: ensuring that marketplace data, books and GSTR-1 working agree before filing.

Common Mistakes While Preparing Myntra GSTR-1

Avoid these errors:

  • Using only the Packed Report

  • Ignoring RT customer returns

  • Ignoring RTO transactions

  • Treating every RTO as a normal return

  • Reversing the same order twice

  • Using net_amount as turnover

  • Deducting platform_charges from customer sales

  • Assuming order_id is the invoice number

  • Guessing buyer GSTIN

  • Guessing HSN

  • Applying the B2CL limit per product row

  • Treating TCS as output GST

How CAWork Suite Generates Myntra GSTR-1 Faster

Why Spend Hours Matching Three Myntra Reports Manually?

Every filing period, manual Myntra work means matching Packed, RT and RTO reports, checking customer states, tax rates, returns, RTO, GST values and TCS.

If you are searching for GSTR-1 software for ecommerce sellers, this is exactly the repetitive work automation should reduce.

CAWork Suite simplifies this entire process into four steps.

Step 1: Select GSTIN and Filing Period

Choose:

  • Seller GSTIN

  • Return month or quarter

Step 2: Upload the Three Myntra Reports

Upload the original:

1. GSTR-1 Packed Report
2. GSTR Report RT
3. GSTR Report RTO

There is no need to manually merge all three reports into one Excel file.

Step 3: Review the GSTR-1 Working

CAWork Suite processes supported fields from all three reports and organises:

  • Forward transactions

  • Customer returns

  • RTO

  • Place of supply

  • GST rates

  • Tax amounts

  • TCS

  • Applicable GSTR-1 classifications

Review the processed transactions and correct incomplete or unusual records before final generation.

Step 4: Generate GSTR-1 Excel or JSON

After review, generate the supported:

  • GSTR-1 Excel

  • GSTR-1 JSON

The complete workflow is:

Select GSTIN and Period → Upload 3 Myntra Reports → Review and Correct Transactions → Generate GSTR-1 Excel or JSON

For supported and correctly formatted reports, CAWork Suite can prepare a review-ready GSTR-1 working in around two minutes.

Final review can take longer if the original reports contain incomplete or unusual transactions.

Stop Matching Myntra Files Manually

Instead of creating the same Excel formulas every month, upload the three original Myntra reports, review the prepared GSTR-1 working and generate the supported output through one organised process.

For accountants handling Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra and other marketplaces, this also provides a more repeatable approach to GSTR-1 for e commerce seller clients.
